This African American Honor Society consists of students who have shown outstanding abilities in academics, leadership, and service with a 3.0 or better GPA. Induction into ABK takes place every spring semester.

The Black Student Union is one of the most well-known and most influential student organizations on USA’s campus. The organization was designed to be a strong supportive structure not only for African Americans but for all students on campus. BSU provides in-depth learning experiences of Black History and opportunities for students to excel in academics and leadership positions.

The purpose of this organization is to ensure, encourage, and motivate African American men at USA to establish and use leadership skills. Members of the C100 will assist the local 100 Black Men Chapter with its programming initiatives that support the development of social, emotional, and physical needs of youth positive role models.

LASA is comprised of students who are interested in South American and Hispanic Culture. The organization has an open membership policy to any student who is enrolled as a full-time student at USA. LASA promotes and educates the campus on the Latin American culture through its programs, community service and participation in festivals and heritage month events.

The National Pan-Hellenic Council is composed of 7 International Greek Letter Sororities and Fraternities (Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Zeta Phi Beta, and Sigma Gamma Rho, Sororities, and Alpha Phi Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, and Phi Beta Sigma, Fraternities). NPHC promotes interaction through forums, meetings, and other mediums for the exchange of information and engages in cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and functions.

The mission of NASA is to create awareness and opportunities to gain knowledge of Native Americans and their culture, as well as to support students of Native American and Alaskan Indian descent.
Spectrum is committed to bringing together students of all sexes, gender identities, religions, ethnicities, races, and sexual orientations, etc. to affirm equality between people to work toward the full political and social enfranchisement of LGBTQ individuals. We recognize the need to support and preserve the integrity of human rights for all and to cultivate action and alliances that will exemplify these ideals. Spectrum will work toward these ends by providing social events where all students are welcome and empowering student voices through education outreach, awareness raising, service projects, and direct political action.

The purpose of VSA is to promote and bring awareness to the culture of Vietnam. Students plan year long service initiatives and program around the adopted project. VSA is open to anyone who wants to get involved and be apart of the festivities. VSA is very active on campus, annually hosting the Chinese New Year and participating in Intramural Sports and the International festival.
The purpose of this organization is to ensure, encourage, and motivate women at USA to establish and use leadership skills. The program focuses on class scheduling, career opportunities, etiquette, and student involvement on campus. to become a member of WOX an individual must have a minimum GPA of a 2.8 and at least 15 credit hours.

Black Faculty and Staff Association
The Black Faculty & Staff Association was founded to develop its members and equip them with the tools to empower, engage and excel within the University of South Alabama, in addition to providing mentorship and guidance to students.

The University of South Alabama Safe Zone program is one aspect of Student Affairs and the Office of Multicultural Affairs' ongoing effort to make the USA campus a safer place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) students. The purpose is to reduce homophobia and heterosexism on campus in order to make the campus a safer and freer environment for all members of the USA community regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
The Title IX Coordinator oversees monitoring of University policy in relation to Title IX law developments; implementation of grievance procedures, including notification, investigation, and disposition of complaints; provision of educational materials and training for the campus community; conducting and/or coordinating investigations of complaints received pursuant to Title IX; ensuring a fair and neutral process for all parties; and monitoring all other aspects of the University's Title IX compliance related to sexual misconduct.
