A Tradition of Excellence

USA Jaguar athletics teams compete at the NCAA Division I level in eight men's and nine women's athletic sports. South Alabama is a charter member of the Sun Belt Conference, with a multisport history of excellence in competition and in the classroom. The football program competes in the Football Bowl Subdivision and participates in the College Football Playoff. The men's and women's basketball programs play home games on campus in the 10,000-seat Mitchell Center. Other on-campus venues include Stanky Field (baseball), Jaguar Field (softball), The Cage (soccer), Jaguar Track (track and field), Jaguar Gym (Volleyball) and the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Courts (men's and women's tennis).
