Community Outreach

Due to the unique nature of our clinic and the expertise available from our faculty supervisors and graduate clinicians, we are able to offer community education services to the groups as well as the general community. Examples of some of the community outreach the USA Psychology Clinic has provided include:

• Dealing with Stress During the Holiday- presented to Alabama Power
• Supporting a Loved One with Depression- presented to Stroke Support Group
• Bullying and the Child with Special Needs- presented to Goodwill/Easter Seals Parent Group
• Recognizing and Addressing Test Anxiety- presented to USA Athletics
• Autism Spectrum Disorders in the Classroom- presented to Continuous Learning Center, Mobile County Public School System
• Circles of my Multicultural Self, presented to USA Residence Life staff
• Communication 2.0, presentation to USA Residence Life staff
• The Freshman Fifteen: Common Fears for Undergraduate Students- presented to USA Residence Life staff
• Asian approaches to stress management at work, presented to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Mobile District
• Asian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month
• Basics of Effective Communication- presented to Mobile Housing Board Leadership Team
