Campus Safety and Improvement Committee
The Campus Safety and Improvement Committee is one of the most community oriented committees on First Year Council. Each member works tirelessly to ensure the safety and comfort of first year students during their transition to life here at South. They work with students, as well as with a network of faculty and staff to make sure each need is attended to.
Committee Projects thus far:
Bonding with the Blue:
An opportunity for USA students and the USA Police Department to get to know each other in a comfortable environment, and bond over the stereotypical love of donuts.
Lighting Tour:
CSI walked through campus after dark searching for areas that were poorly lit, or lighting fixtures that were broken, and reported them through the LiveSafe app so they could be fixed.
Campus Cleanup:
Cleaning our campus partnered with GreenJags!
