Training

The 2025 educational outreach on the Responsible Conduct of Research training is provided below.
Education in the responsible conduct of research provides a shared understanding of the rules and ethical norms to perform research.   Researchers have both professional and regulatory-related responsibilities to conducting research responsibly, such as practicing scholarly activities and research with integrity.  RCR training aims to develop commonality in building shared values in order to promote a culture of compliance, and empowerment to continue conversations within the work environment.

RCR training is held from January 1st through October 31st each year.  RCR training instruction will not be available November through December for purposes of compiling training metrics and compliance reporting.

Faculty engaged in sponsored and unsponsored research are required to participate, at minimum, in two (2) hours of instruction/sessions yearly.  Research personnel are highly encouraged to participate.

Please take time to review the University RCR Training Policy, to include specific federal agencies RCR training requirements.

Register for all RCR sessions on the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Training Registration Portal.

Registration is required for each session within 24 hours prior to the session, with the exception of USA Online Canvas sessions.

Six (6) training sessions for 2025 will be in-person at the USA Faculty Club (located at 6350 Fincher Rd.) and five (5) training sessions will be conducted via the USA Online Canvas platform.
