The University of South Alabama is located on the beautiful Gulf Coast in Mobile (pronounced Mo-BEEL), Alabama – home of the original Mardi Gras! Founded in 1702 by French colonists and named for the local Mobile tribe of Native Americans inhabiting the area, the Port City offers a wealth of history, a great local music and arts scene, fantastic seafood and BBQ, a vibrant craft brew culture, and of course, nearby white sand beaches.
