Connect with the Gulf Coast Tableau Users Group (TUG)
Do you want to advance your Tableau skills and connect with fellow Tableau users and data enthusiasts in the Mobile Bay area?
Join the Gulf Coast TUG - the Gulf Coast Tableau User Group that meets quarterly on the University of South Alabama campus. TUG meetings are inclusive meetup events for Tableau enthusiasts to connect, learn, and discuss all things data. This event is ideal for industry professionals and students. Help us grow the coastal data analytics community!
To view the upcoming and past meeting details, visit the official Gulf Coast TUG (Tableau User Group) website.
The Gulf Coast TUG (Tableau User Group) is led by Jana Stupavsky and Russ Cantrell with the University of South Alabama. Please feel free to reach out to them if you have any questions.
The Gulf Coast TUG Summer meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Mitchell College of Business, Room 146.
Join us for a hands-on dashboard showcase! Work with our sample business dataset to create your own Tableau visualization ahead of the TUG meeting, then bring your laptop to share your approach. Get friendly feedback from fellow TUG members and see how others tackle the same data. Born from an idea at our 2024 Winter Gulf Coast TUG meeting, we're hoping to make this a regular way for everyone to learn cool new Tableau tricks from each other.
For this session, visit https://www.kaggle.com/datasets/prasad22/healthcare-dataset , download the dataset and analyze the data. If you'd rather just upload your dashboard to Tableau Public and share the link with the organizers, that's fine, too. In the future, we will welcome input on preferred datasets.
Visit the summer TUG meeting website to view the meeting's agenda and to RSVP. For more information, please contact Jana Stupavsky at jstupavsky@southalabama.edu.
