Mobile Regional Science & Engineering Fair Rules

The Mobile Regional Science & Engineering Fair will follow the same rules as the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. Click here for 2026 change updates. All ISEF rules are available online at Student Science.

NEW RULES for 2026

  • All images, photos, graphs, and so forth must note how they were created. For example, "Graph created by R. Reardon using DataClassroom." This requirement especially includes creating anything using any AI.
  • Every student/entrant is required to submit to STEM Wizard a completed PDF of their poster by the form deadline.

General Rules

  • To get started, each participant must be added into STEM Wizard and create their account. Their teacher has to add them.
  • One exception is that we will not accept “Team” projects.
  • Each student is allowed to enter only one project.
  • All students should display an abstract with their project. Abstracts should be no more than 250 words and should include:
    • (a) the purpose of the experiment
    • (b) procedures used
    • (c) data collected
    • (d) conclusions. Abstracts should not include acknowledgments of work or procedures done by the mentor.

A statement of acknowledgement should be included in the bottom right-hand corner of each poster display.

Virtual presentations are required. See Science Fair Forms and Deadlines for presentation templates and submission instructions.

Each student in the Senior (High-School) Division should display a project data book and a research paper with their project. Any use of AI (who, what, when, where, why, and how) should be referenced in the project data book.

Failure to comply with the above ISEF requirements will result in disqualification.
