Admissions Process Presentation from the University of Alabama School of Law
September 26 at 3 pm in Humanities 150
Admissions personnel from the University of Alabama School of Law will give a short presentation about Alabama Law, including information about their traditional JD application process and their streamlined Alabama Scholars Admissions Program, which is open to current students and graduates from the University of South Alabama who meet certain criteria. The officers will will also conduct a Q&A for students who are interested in learning more about admissions as well as life during and after law school
Introduction to the Paralegal Profession
October 18 at 6 PM via Zoom
Adrienne Berry, President of the Alabama Association of Paralegals and Supervisory Paralegal in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Birmingham, will present an overview of the paralegal profession, including certification opportunities and requirements. Q&A to follow.
Presentation on the Mobile Drug Court
November 7 at 3 pm in Humanities 150
Judge Edward C. Blount Jr. and Joyce Morrissette, MS, Treatment Coordinator and Counselor for the Mobile Drug Court, will provide an introduction to the operation and function of the Mobile Drug Court, a problem-solving court designed to help offenders who suffer from substance abuse. Q&A to follow.
