Pre-Residency Requirements

Students with a science degree from an accredited institution and an eligible program are encouraged to apply for a Pre-Residency opportunity in the PTS program. Graduate students will be paid a stipend of $1500 for an eight-week pre-residency that includes experience in both a middle school and high school secondary science classroom in Mobile County, working with highly qualified mentors and developing innovative science activities with science professors. The Pre-residency will be two days per week from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
