ADD/ADHD
The USA Student Health Center offers evaluation and treatment for concerns of ADHD. Students with concern for ADHD will be scheduled for an initial evaluation to determine treatment recommendations based on clinical judgment and ADHD testing through the TOVA program. The TOVA test is given at student health at the cost of $100. This test is not covered by insurance and will be the patient's responsibility.
If you have previously been diagnosed with ADHD and are under the care of another provider we will need supporting medical records to continue care and treatment including current prescriptions. You may be asked for updated ADHD testing based on clinical judgment by the provider. Medical records of previous diagnostic evaluation and treatment and any ADHD testing results may be faxed to (251) 414-8227 or brought in person to the Student Health Center.
Students are required to sign a controlled substance agreement along with a urine drug screen if prescribed medications. Students may be subject to random drug screening throughout treatment.
Students may see a Primary Care Provider or one of our Psychiatric specialist for their initial visit. You may be referred to the Psychiatric specialist from the Primary Care Provider for consultation and continued care.
