Alcoholic Beverages Alabama state law prohibits the sale of any alcoholic beverage to a person who has not reached their 21st birthday. For this reason, guests must show valid identification each time an alcoholic beverage is purchased.    A
Americans with Disabilities Act The Mitchell Center is in compliance with the ADA. If you need to purchase accessible seating, you may do so in person or by calling the Mitchell Center Box Office at (251) 460-6047.   A
Arena Entry Upon entry to the Mitchell Center, guests may go through a screening process. Bags may be searched and/or a visual full scan may be performed. Guests and show personnel are subject to this screening process.   A
ATM There is one ATM located in the Mitchell Center on the South Concourse.   A
Attire Guests to the Mitchell Center are required to dress appropriately including shoes and a shirt. Guests not in compliance with this policy may be asked to vacate the premises.   A
Camera Policy Audio and video recording devices are prohibited from the Mitchell Center. The camera policy varies by event.   C
Catering & Concessions The Mitchell Center's exclusive food and beverage provider is the Aramark Corporation. All concessions and catering requests should be directed to Aramark by calling (251) 460-7948.   C
Children's Admission In most cases, any child who has reached the age of two must purchase a ticket for entry. Please check the information for the specific event for any exceptions.   C

Confiscated Items Items that are not in compliance with the Mitchell Center Policies and Procedures will be confiscated. These items will not be returned.   C
Defibrillator The emergency defibrillator is located at the Mitchell Center south entrance. The closest event staff personnel can assist with the defibrillator.   D

Doors Open In most cases, doors will open one hour prior to the start of an event.   D
Elevators The Mitchell Center has two elevators to serve guests. Please check with event personnel to locate the elevators that may be used during an event.   E
Event Cancellations If an event is canceled, tickets may be refunded at the point of purchase. You may call the Mitchell Center Box Office for more information at (251) 460-6047.   E
Guest Conduct Please refrain from the following behaviors and activities. Engaging in either of the following may result in eviction from the Mitchell Center property:
. Damaging any part of the Mitchell Center
. Use of profanity
. Possession of unauthorized items in Mitchell Center
. Unacceptable or indecent attire
. Failure to comply with any Mitchell Center policy
. Verbally abusing or threatening any staff member or guest
. Entering any area deemed "off limits"
. Throwing of objects in the Mitchell Center

Guest Services The Administrative Office is located at the South entrance of the Mitchell Center. The person at the front desk is available to answer questions concerning parking, upcoming events and services offered.   G
Lost & Found

The lost and found is located in the Administrative Office at the South entrance of the Mitchell Center. Items that are found in the Mitchell Center are kept for up to 90 days.

 

To report a lost item, please visit the Administrative Office and complete a Lost Item Form. Only authorized persons with correct identification will be able to retrieve the item, if found.

Lost Children

If your child is lost, please go to the Administrative Office located at the South entrance and immediately tell Mitchell Center staff. We have procedures to assist with locating your child.

 

Lost children, will remain in the Administrative Office until the parent or guardian is located. Correct identification will be needed to take the child from that office. If there is any conflict, the appropriate authorities will be notified to further assist.

Medical Services Medical services are available to serve our guests. In the event medical services are needed, please locate the closest staff person and the services will be dispatched. The first aid room is located on the West concourse, room 2237.   M
Outside food and beverage

Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the Mitchell Center. Aramark has concessions with food available for purchase.

Parking

Handicap parking spaces are available in the south lot of the Mitchell Center. These spaces are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. We cannot reserve a space under any circumstance. If a person with limited mobility needs to be dropped off, please inform the parking attendant and they will direct you to the correct route.

Parking is available in all areas surrounding the Mitchell Center for special events. There are 450 parking spaces on the immediate site of the facility. There are 2,000 spaces located within a 5-minute walk and an additional 2,000 parking spaces within a 10-minute walk.

Policies and Procedures

The Mitchell Center prohibits the following:

- Alcoholic beverages and illegal substances
- Weapons or potentially dangerous items
- Flammable materials and incendiary devices of any kind
- Hazardous chemicals or materials
- Backpacks, large bags, coolers
- Bottles, cans, projectiles or compressed gas
- Artificial noisemaking devices such as air horns, whistles, etc
- Laser pointers
- The use of tobacco products
- Outside food or drinks
- Video or audio recording devices
- Camera policy varies by event
- Animals (working animals only are permitted inside the facility)

Mitchell Center reserves the right to search all persons and bags entering or exiting the building. Mitchell Center will not be held responsible for items missing, stolen, damaged or lost. Ejection from the Mitchell Center may result, if you fail to comply with these policies.

Confiscated items will not be returned.

Re-Entry Policy

There is no re-entry into the Mitchell Center. This information is printed on each ticket and is displayed on every door.

Scalping

No ticket may be resold or given away on venue property at any time. To prevent issues with illegal or counterfeit tickets, purchases should only be made from an authorized Veritix location.

Smoking Areas

“The Mitchell Center is a tobacco-free facility. The University of South Alabama is committed to providing healthy learning, working, healthcare, housing and recreational environment for students, patients, faculty, staff and visitors on all campuses. The use of all forms of tobacco and nicotine products including, but not limited to, e-cigarettes and vaping are prohibited. Tickets The Mitchell Center Box Office sells tickets for events at the Mitchell Center and Official South Alabama Athletics ticketed events. Normal box office hours are Monday through Friday 10:00am to 5:00 pm. Hours for on-sale and special events will be announced on an event-by-event basis. Wheelchairs Guests arriving with their own wheelchair may access the facility at the south entrance on non-event days. On days of an event, wheelchair access is located at the south and east entrances of the Mitchell Center.   W
Will Call

Generally, will call is at the east ticket booth and is open one hour prior to the event.

Veritix will call is available at any ticket window. Present your identification, the card used to purchase tickets and your confirmation information to the cashier.

 Media

Athletic Events

Athletic media may enter the building at the loading dock with the correct credentials for the event. If credentials are needed, contact USA Media Relations at (251) 460-7035.

Other Events
Press credentials for other events will be arranged via the event presenter or on an event-by-event basis.
