Michael Square, Eight Mile, Theodore Oaks: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM

Courthouse Annex: Monday and Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM

Citronelle: Tuesday and Thursday 7:00AM - 4:00PM

For out-of-state new residents, first-time issuance of an Alabama driver's license, suspended driver's license, or a foreign national driver license, you MUST apply at the following Alabama Department of Public Safety Office:

The fee for a Driver’s License is $37.50. Other fees may apply.

Please note that The Alabama Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will not renew or issue an Alabama driver's license for those whose I-20 or DS-2019 will expire in 6-months or less. 

You may request a drivers license eligibility letter from the Office of Immigration and International Admissions to bring with you to your DMV appointment.
