Assignment Changes

Room Swap periods are offered prior to move in. Assigned students can change themselves to a different building, room, or roommate within MyUSAHousing.
A Room Change Request period is potentially offered at the beginning of each semester for residents who wish to request to change buildings, rooms, or roommates. Requests are submitted either in MyUSAHousing and are processed based upon the date/time submitted and availability or through a student's Area Coordinator/Community Director.

Room Swap (Prior to Move In) Period for Academic Year 2024-2025:

  • First-Year Student Room Swap: May 7-17, 2024
  • General Room Swap (OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS):  June 12-21, 2024

Students may swap room assignment and see/select from all available buildings except Fraternity/Sorority buildings.

Room Change Requests for Fall 2023

Fall 2023 Room Change Requests: Contact your Area Coordinator or Community Director for assistance and availability.

Requests are processed based on the date/time the room change request was submitted and room availability. Space is extremely limited. Residents will receive notice via JagMail on the status of their requests.
