Project Overview:
Demolition of an existing grounds building to make way for the new Central Energy Plant #3 and cooling tower.  This plant is a facility designed to distribute heating and cooling capacity to the campus central loop and assist with the heating and cooling capacity at the new College of Medicine as it comes online in 2026.

Client: University of South Alabama 

Estimated Construction Completion Date: January 2026

Construction Contract: $15,571,771.00

SF: 10,975 SF

Primary Use: Provide heating and cooling capacity to buildings on campus. 

Design Contract: Burns McDonnell

Construction Contract: Ben M. Radcliff Contractor, Inc.
