Grayson Glaze, JD, CRE, CCIM, CPM is the inaugural Distinguished Professor of Real Estate. This new professorship, made possible through the generous support of Abraham Mitchell, comes at a pivotal time as the Mitchell College real estate program is transitioning from a concentration into a full undergraduate major. The new degree programs will equip students with relevant, in-demand skills and will open doors to real estate career opportunities. 

Glaze is a graduate of the University of Alabama (Finance/Real Estate) and completed his juris doctorate at the Birmingham School of Law. He joins South after a two-decade career at the University of Alabama, where he served as the Executive Director of the Alabama Center for Real Estate (ACRE). During his tenure, the Culverhouse Real Estate Program became the largest academic real estate program in the country.

Throughout his academic career, Glaze has continued to be active in the real estate industry as a broker, real estate advisor and property developer. Glaze is a credentialed Counselor of Real Estate as well as a Certified Property Manager by the Institute of Real Estate Management and a Certified Commercial Investment Member by the CCIM Institute.
