If you are a major in another discipline considering a minor in French
The minor in French consists of 21 credits of coursework in French. The following are the required classes:
French Courses for a Minor |

LG 111 Introductory French I |
LG 112 Introductory French II |
LG 211 Intermediate French I |
LG 212 Intermediate French II |
3 300+ level courses ( 9 credit hours) which may include 9 credit hours of courses taken abroad. * |
*There are two ways you can fulfill these 9 credit hours.
1. After completing LG 212, you can study abroad in order to take 3 classes ( for a total of 9 credit hours) offered by the host institution.
OR
2. You can choose three courses for a total of 9 credit hours from LG 311, LG 312, LG 314 (repeated for 3 credit hours), LG, 326, LG 327, LG 412, LG 415, LG 416, or LG 492.
For Foreign Languages major
Foreign Languages majors with concentrations other than French can also fulfill the requirement for a minor by completing another foreign languages concentration (24 credit hours). Below are the classes you will need for a second concentration in French.
