2021 Robert Noyce Conference

June 15-17, 2021 I Virtual Conference

Dear Noyce Colleagues,

It is my great pleasure to announce that we will be hosting a virtual conference this year.  Although we are unable to meet in person due to the ongoing concerns of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are excited that we are able to host more Noyce Scholars and Administrators with the virtual format.  We still will have an impactful conference that will be sure to inspire, so please join us.

Building on the momentum from previous events, we will continue our exploration of the challenges and potential solutions to the persistent problems of equity in education as well as examining the disruption and challenges of the past year and a half.  The pandemic revealed many of the inequities that were discussed in previous years and we are hopeful that our focus on these inequities will lead to innovative solutions. We look forward to continuing the connections established at past conferences and developing new connections and relationships those from newly funded projects as we all work to remove barriers in STEM teacher education. ­­

We remain excited about hosting this year's conference so that we all can share resources and lessons learned from your Noyce projects, and be inspired by one another.

The National Science Foundation Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program seeks to encourage talented science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) majors and professionals to become K-12 mathematics and science (including engineering and computer science) teachers. The program invites creative and innovative proposals that address the critical need for recruiting and preparing highly effective elementary and secondary science and mathematics teachers in high-need local educational agencies.
